Mariel first ventured into the world of arts administration in 2017 when she enrolled in a graduate program at Boston University. Inspired by her travels and work with the U.S. State Department’s American Music Abroad cultural exchange program, she decided to pursue arts administration full time with the intention of creating community through music.

While studying for her degree, Mariel worked full-time at Passim, a non-profit arts organization, venue, and music school in Cambridge, Massachusetts. There she ran the Passim School of Music, an adult education program that attracted more than 700 students annually.

Mariel continues to engage in various arts administrative projects and is always eager to collaborate with musicians, artists, small businesses, and non-profits.
